Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our finance team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for supporting the Corporate Controller in managing the company’s financial reporting, accounting operations, compliance activities, and internal controls. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data. The Assistant Controller will assist in maintaining efficient accounting processes while supporting operational and strategic initiatives across the company.

Job Functions

• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements

• Support the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting

• Maintain general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, and perform account reconciliations

• Assist with internal and external audits by preparing workpapers and responding to auditor requests

• Ensure adherence to internal control policies and participate in enhancements to financial workflows

• Prepare financial analyses to support budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance reviews

• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure accurate revenue, cost, and inventory reporting

• Assist with ERP system improvements and data accuracy initiatives

• Participate in process improvement efforts aimed at enhancing efficiency and reporting accuracy

• Comply with Company policy and procedures, whether written or communicated verbally, including the instructions and directions from individuals in direct supervisory positions

Education/License/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required for this position
  • CPA preferred

Experience

5 or more years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience preferred.

Skills/Knowledge

• Intermediate computer proficiency (MS Office including Word, Outlook, proficiency with Excel spreadsheets) and internet

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization

• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control requirements

• Experience in manufacturing, oilfield services, or industrial equipment industries

• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
