Lead a team of engineers and professional-level roles responsible for the development of products and technologies to help customers meet their production goals.
- Customarily and regularly manage direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the human assets of Valiant ALS, including directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules. Provide regular and routine feedback and assessment on performance to each subordinate and provide recommendations for staff compensation, promotion, termination actions, and hiring as appropriate
- Direct and supervise activities including control of change through the use of systems and processes and the input of initial design and component data into the Product Data Management (PDM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Conduct Department administration which includes assigning projects, performance evaluations, hiring of new employees, employee training and development, and disciplinary action
- Prioritize and direct daily department activities to ensure effective and efficient completion of department objectives
- Review and approve engineering designs for accuracy and correctness. Outputs include engineering change requests, product configuration changes, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Collaborate with peers and management to establish plans and budgets for engineering to support the further growth and development of the company. Ensure all department activities are effectively coordinated with other functional departments and outside resources
- Participate in process development, continuous improvement, and metrics development and monitoring in addition to implementation and/or improvement of new systems and tools
- Comply with Company policy and procedures, whether written or communicated verbally, including the instructions and directions from individuals in direct supervisory positions

- A minimum of five years’ engineering experience in ESP/HPS
- Prior experience and working knowledge of ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
- Intermediate computer proficiency (MS Office; Word, Outlook, Excel), internet, data import/export and structure and NetSuite
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Detail orientation and keen attention to accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills
